My Students

My students are eager learners. They challenge me daily to help them seek out answers on things they do not know. This can be from learning the meaning of new vocabulary words, to learning about different types of animals, places of interest, or how certain things work. When we read they are excited and love to get to their individual book bins once they complete their work so they can read independently or with a partner. Often the students will ask can they borrow a book for home and how can I deny them of that opportunity.

My Project

We have begun to develop students who have a love for reading. They fully enjoy being read to. Now they are becoming the readers themselves. These materials are going to give them a chance to explore a variety of characters and their experiences while reading these early chapter books. These books will allow my students choices while selecting books from the classroom library. We will develop our reading comprehension while enjoying the different books. Their love for reading will continue to grow through this project. Reading is what we love!!
