My Project
During our Project SEARCH summer boot camp, externs will take charge of a coffee and tea cart for our faculty and staff, providing them with a unique opportunity to enhance their social skills, manage money, follow directions, and develop essential soft skills needed to successfully run a small business.
Through hands-on engagement in waitstaff and server tasks, externs will gain real-world experience that prepares them for future careers.
A key focus will be on mastering the art of taking orders and delivering a variety of beverages—whether iced, blended, or hot—ensuring our staff enjoys a delightful coffee experience. With the introduction of an ice maker and an array of flavoring options, our students will elevate their skillset by learning how to operate a blender, craft unique coffee blends, and expand our enticing coffee menu. By mastering these skills, they will unlock exciting job opportunities as waitstaff or servers within our community, bridging their education and future employment.
