Help me expand our selection of Spanish language books in our school library!

Expanding our section of Spanish books will help support the confidence & literacy development of these students, foster an environment of inclusivity, and allow for families to read at home together in their native language.

Virginia Stevenson Elementary School is a Title I located in Dayton, OH in the Mad River Local Schools District. The school serves a diverse population of 300 students, including ~30 students who are English language learners. About half of those students speak Spanish at home.

Right now, we have about 10 titles in Spanish in a small section of our bookshelves. When I was able to add a few Dog Man books in Spanish, my Spanish readers cheered when they saw them on the shelves! I would love to be able to add to our collection to show these students that they belong in our learning community, and that we honor their bilingual superpowers! I've chosen a variety of easy readers, graphic novels, picture books, and nonfiction books that are in Spanish or English & Spanish.
