My Project

My class of 28 readers are growing so quickly as we pass through Kindergarten! They are growing as independent readers each and every day. Not only do our students love to read independently, they love to come together as a class to enjoy a story as a community of learners.

Read Alouds provide our students a time to expand their knowledge, comprehension skills, and vocabulary.

This is a time in our day students look forward to as they get invested in new characters and story lines. We learn about amazing individuals, as well as life lessons to make us better friends.

Providing students with a diverse selection of read alouds will help bring more opportunities for comprehension rich discussions, and expansion of our growing vocabulary.
