My Project

At Momentum Academy, my scholars are genuinely caring and respectful, eager to learn and grow. They are truly special because of their kindness, respect for one another, and curiosity. However, many have not had the opportunity to explore different games and activities beyond the familiar sports of basketball and football. I want to expand their horizons and give them the chance to try new things, broaden their skills, and discover sports they may never have encountered before.

The resources I’m requesting will make a significant difference in their learning.

The Champion Sports Mini Golf Set will introduce them to a sport that focuses on precision, patience, and strategy—skills that aren’t always emphasized in traditional PE activities. The numbered pinnies in various colors will make team sports more organized, allowing my scholars to easily recognize teams and understand teamwork in a clear and structured way. The Cosom Scooter Board Hockey Set will provide them with an exhilarating new way to engage in hockey, making it fun and accessible, even for those who may not be accustomed to traditional hockey. Games like bocce ball and cornhole will challenge their hand-eye coordination and precision, while the horseshoe set offers an engaging way to practice focus and control.

My goal with this project is to give my scholars the opportunity to explore different sports and activities that are often overlooked. I want them to experience the same opportunities and excitement that students at larger, better-equipped schools get to enjoy. By exposing them to new challenges, I hope to foster a sense of curiosity and adventure in them, helping them build confidence in their physical abilities and learn teamwork, strategy, and perseverance in a fun and engaging way.

These kids deserve to experience a full range of activities, these resources will benefit greatly!
