My Students

While we have increased the number of students in our programming classes, we have yet to meet our goals for diversity. Some items the students have selected are for use in our programming classes and for our after school clubs. We want the posters to beautify our computer lab.

Students at our highly ranked public school are amazing in their high academic achievement and athletic, artistic and club involvement.

A range of forty to sixty percent of our students qualify for free lunch every year. More and more students are taking our computer classes and we need more resources for them.

My Project

The 3D printer will be used to make students' 3D programs come alive. It's amazing how excited they are about having one! The vinyl printer will be used to cleverly advertise programming classes and clubs at our school. Students can create images from programs they create and print them up to put on coffee mugs, windows, binders, etc. Many items will be used as awards and motivation for participating in contests and clubs. The posters will be used to beautify our computer lab and make it look more welcoming. Arduinos and many other tools we have use batteries and using rechargeable batteries will help us save money in the long run. Most of the items in the cart have been chosen by the students and they are eager for their arrival!

It is our hope that this collection of resources will help to inspire students at our school to be enthusiastic and excited about taking a computer programming class.

By being able to explore CS in high school, they may decide to further their studies in college.
