My Students

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. My students love to read and I am hoping to get some new books for our classroom. Books can really bring forth a students imagination and let them step into a whole new world that is new and exciting. My students are currently the top A.R. (Accelerated Reading) reading class in our school, but we are running out of books in the classroom for the students to read. I want my students to love to read and enjoy the journey that books can take them on.

My Project

With these books, my students will be able to learn about places they have never seen and explore new worlds. Books help students to expand their minds and can take students away from their troubles. Reading is essential for students throughout their lives. The younger they learn to love to read the more it will help them to succeed in the future. Students should love to read and I hope to achieve that with these new books.

By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student reading levels, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
