Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I feel like my students are some of the best students and we teach them to become our future. My students are in a low-income area, where they aren't really taught much about manners, life outside of their neighborhood, nor what is best for their future. Some of my students lost their homes and many items, due to Hurricane Harvey. Considering all of these effects, they still come to my class eager to learn. My students are hard workers, I have students who range from being in the United States their whole lives, and I have students who also have just arrived from El Salvador, Mexico, or Honduras.
My students are learning in my class to have goals in life, have ambitions, as well as learn and become educated of their Science content.
My Project
Students always need extra resources to be able to learn and study on their own. I am looking for this laptop project to help students who were effected by Hurricane Harvey to be able to complete assignments as well as expand their learning in a private setting as well possibly checking it out to their house.
I feel students should not need to use the excuse they can't complete online homework assignments, nor use online resources to expand their learning.
I feel all students should be given the opportunity to exceed in their learning. I want students to be able to learn and be able to research on their own, without feeling like they are tied down without any technology.
