My students need books, books, and more books to practice and improve their recently acquired reading skills.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Papa's classroom raised $507

My Students
My students walk into my classroom each day full of questions and excitement. My students are able to spend the majority of their day in the general education classroom, but come to my classroom for individualized and specialized help with reading and language skills.
My students attend a Title I Chicago Public School in the Rogers Park neighborhood.
My students know they need to work extra hard in order to become better readers so they can keep up with their peers in the rest of their classes.
My Project
My students with disabilities are behind their general education peers. They have come so far but know they still have a long way to go. They need to read every day to practice and improve upon the reading skills they are learning in my class.
Increasing the quality and quantity of leveled books in our classroom library will give my students the opportunity to not only read more, but to read more high-interest material at their level.
This will give them the opportunity they need to increase their exposure to reading and literature and to close the gap between them and their peers without disabilities.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
