My students need an iPad in the classroom to use during small group time to research and expand their mind on topics being discussed and also to do projects such as power point or video.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 4th grade students are sweet and appreciative kids that are grateful for the things they have. They come from a low socioeconomic area in Los Angeles. Every student gets free breakfast and lunch. The majority of the students are English learners that come from Spanish speaking parents that have immigrated to Los Angeles. There are 32 students enrolled in class which makes it difficult to teach whole group and maneuver around the class. Although it's a bit crowded, we make it work!
My Project
Having an iPad in the classroom will motivate my students to research topics that we are discussing in class during small group time. Many of my students are shy but they will be willing to share their learning with others through multiple ways iPad has to offer such as PowerPoint, photos/ videos, and I movie. Using such functions, students will be willing to present for the class. Students will also be able to learn information with educated games and apps. Learning will be fun and interesting and students will be able to show me growth with technology that interest them.
