Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
If we are given the the yoga mats in this proposal, this provides my kids the opportunity to learn strategies that would enable them to better cope with anxiety and the stressors that they experience both at home and at school. It is my hope that they will also develop self confidence that translates in their studies and in their social interactions.
The goal of this project is to provide students with the ability to help their focus, reduce their stress levels, and provide them a place that would feel more centered and a calmness that helps with all aspects of their lives.
My students live in the Central Valley in an inner-city school. The quality that makes my students special is that they are reslient and are genuinely good hearted kids that want to do their very best.
