Exercising Around the Globe...Your Passport to Health!
My students need two stationary exercise bikes and two LCD TVs in order to implement a technology based Physical Education program and at the same time learn to live active lifestyles.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"We need technology in every classroom and in every student's and teacher's hands because it is the pen and paper of our time, and it is the lens through which we experience much of our world". -David Warlick. Unfortunately, without your help, my students will continue living in the pen and paper era.
My students come from low-income families with extremely limited resources.
They are kind, enthusiastic, and very eager to learn despite their financial situation. They attend a Title I school and often need assistance with basic every day necessities.
My Project
I am requesting two stationary exercise bikes and two LCD TVs to use during Physical Education. With these items, along with a couple of DVD players and virtual exercise videos the PTA will donate, my students will be able to earn the privilege of using this technology to travel/bike through every corner of the world without even as much as a passport!
I need your help in order to introduce my students to the technological advances of the world we now live in, while at the same time incorporating fitness along with the chance to travel to different destinations!
