My Students
My students are amazing people who come from a low income housing project. The students in my class love coming to school where they are safe, fed, cared for and taught by someone who really cares about them.
We have an after school work out club where participants engage in learning about exercise and ways to take care of their bodies.
My Project
We offer a after school club where the intermediate students can learn about the benefits of exercising and eating healthy. These items will allow my students to try different types of work outs including team building skills and fun activities. Most of these students come from an inner city government housing project where they aren’t able to play freely outside and can’t afford to be part of a sports team. During our time together not only do we teach them how to exercise and learn about their bodies but we also discuss stress relieving activities, healthy eating and the importance of a good nights sleep.
