Executive Functioning Tools for My Students With Special Needs
Help me give my students seat sacks, so they are able to keep their belongings organized. The tables that they sit at do not have a place to store their books or supplies such as pencils and crayons.
I recently began teaching in a 12:1:1 setting. My students have inspired me to come up with ways to meet them at their levels and target their direct needs. My students have various disabilities ranging from Autism to speech and language delays.
One thing that they all have in common is that they all struggle with executive functioning.
They have trouble keeping their belongings organized, especially since they don't have built in desk storage. These seat sacks would greatly help minimize distractions around the room while keeping my students organized. The seat sacks would also promote independence and responsibility as they would need to keep track of their own belongings such as: workbooks, folders, pencils and crayons.
