Executive Functioning and Project Based Learning!

Help me give my students 60 plastic baskets to organize all their materials and help with their executive functioning skills, art supplies for them to express their knowledge in the form of project based learning vs paper exams.

My Project

This year, I am teaching a great number of special ed students, a sub separate student, and children on 504 plans that struggle with executive functioning. All my supplies will help with their mental heath and executive functioning.

The use of bins is essential to help these students carry their materials class to class.

Receiving these bins would be overwhelmingly helpful and will ensure every student is capable of carrying their necessary materials with them throughout the school day.

Markers, glue sticks, and rulers will help me provide project based learning assignments instead of the traditional paper exams. My special ed students will have a way to show their knowledge of the subject matter in a more creative way. This is also extremely helpful for students who have testing anxiety and give them a chance to show their knowledge in a non-traditional way.

Paper towels and tissues are always a needed item seeing as I work for a Title I school so breakfast and lunch is always provided to students and eaten in the classroom which leads to spills and crumbs.

Whiteboards are used daily, and my students who struggle with executive functioning tend to lose their whiteboard erasers and markers quite often. Having a classroom supply of these materials will be so helpful.
