Exciting Literacy Time!

Help me give my students an alphabet carpet and literacy center kits to engage them in rich ELA activities.

My Project

My students will benefit substantially by receiving the items I have chosen for my classroom. I will be able to use these materials immediately upon delivery. The literacy centers will help engage my students in hands on and fun learning stations. And lastly the alphabet carpet is such in integral part of our daily procedures throughout our kindergarten day. It is also used as a learning carpet as well with a vast variety of phonics activities used with it. We come to the carpet all throughout the day to read stories, share ideas, do work on whiteboards and play games. Covid has impacted our learning over the past year and a half by our students just now experiencing real school for the first time as a Kindergartner- most of them did not get to experience preschool. The literacy centers and carpet will help with the social emotional aspects most did not experience in preschool. These items will directly relate to helping students to continue their social-emotional and academic learning by providing them with engaging and fun learning opportunities.
