Exciting Learning Experiences in First Grade

My project needs an ABC Caterpillar Carpet and Zoobooks.

Dear Wonderful Donor, I teach First Grade at an elementary school. I have taught for 12 years and have always wanted an attractive area that I could gather the kids into for reading and discussion time. However, there is no money available from our school to buy an attractive rug for my classroom. I know the kids would love the area and enjoy our group times of learning if they had a bright, colorful rug to come to. I have great plans this year to incorporate nonfiction reading into my daily reading lessons. First graders are so interested in animals and how they live. Using Zoobooks, I could easily motivate my students to read the nonfiction text and really enjoy it. Overall my plan is to use the rug and books to create a love of reading and learning for life for my students.
