My students need books like "Early Childhood Centers," "Fill-in Mini Books" and "Seasonal Centers," to help with writing and hands-on activities to work on during center time.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember when you wrote your first story, all by yourself? How proud were YOU? My students need writing and independent hands on activities to boost their self confidence.
I have a class of 22 energetic kindergarten students.
My class is composed of 11 boys and 11 girls. Our school is located in a low socioeconomic area of South Los Angeles. We are considered a Title 1 school because 95 to 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of our students attend before and after school programs where they get help with homework in a safe environment.
My Project
The writing resources: Language Arts Activities with Cut Outs, Classifying, 100th Day Activities, Participation stories and Fill-in Mini books will help my kindergarten students to develop writing skills that will help them to write opinion pieces. This will help prepare them for the first grade standards. The Seasonal Center activities for Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer along with the Early Childhood Centers resources will provide engaging activities for my students to participate in, while I'm working with small groups during Independent Work Time. These resources will allow me to develop lessons that will motivate my students as well as help them to gain independence and self confidence.
Your support of this project will help to build the foundational skills my students will need to become independent thinkers and writers.
The resource materials I've requested will support them in this effort.
