Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
School for 6th graders can become mundane. It can quickly become a place that they do not want to be. Through this project I hope to provide them with multiple classroom transformations.
By transforming my room into a pirate ship, a picnic area, a donut party, or a surgical room, I can integrate my core teaching standards into those activities while they are dressed up playing the part!
Let's spend the entire day/week submerged into whatever we are learning. 6th graders are just big kids, they still need to enjoy fun and exciting settings. Music, lights, changing out table clothes and having a few accessories I know will make their last year in elementary school one to remember!
