My Students

My second graders come from all over the world. They each bring their own unique talents and experiences to the classroom and are incredibly excited about learning.

They are full of energy and enthusiasm and are beginning to come together to support one another!

They are passionate and love learning! As we read stories, they are constantly examining the illustrations and making observations that they are eager to share with one another. They are always asking questions, wondering why things work the way they do, or how things come about. They love working together with one another and encouraging each other to become leaders!

My Project

One thing I've learned over the past three years in the classroom is how much our students LOVE science, social studies and current events, and the power that they feel in reading books that are on their reading level!

Looking forward to next school year I am so excited for the opportunity to meet my students where they are and guide them on their journeys as they prepare themselves for third grade, high school and college!

These materials will engage their interests while giving them the practice with materials that are on their level!

Students in the past have absolutely LOVED Scholastic News and Science Spin which provide them with engaging Science, Social Studies, and other current articles! As a teacher I love having them as a resource to empower my students to practice various standards and learn more about the world around them!

The leveled readers will also serve to empower my students who are still growing as readers, and help them to develop confidence as readers so they want to continue to read and grow!
