Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
To say that this time has been a challenge in education, is an understatement! Understandably, the ones feeling it the most are our students.
I am in a permanent search of new tools and paths to to help my students remain motivated.
Distance learning has not been easy for my economically disadvantaged students. They are hard working and eager to learn.
My Project
After a year and a half of not being in school in a physical settting, students are eager to learn but are lacking the resources .
Schools, just as the rest of the world, are unable to restock basic supplies that are essential to student learning.
We need basic supplies to jumpstart our learning for wrtiters workshop and small group rotations such as post it’s, note pads and markers to annotate / edit their writing . Small group rotation activities / supplies are especially needed for students that are in need of remedial practice.
We are excited to begin our learning especially writers workshop / math rotations , but need supplies and organization tools such as attention buzzers that are essential to motivate students and get them back into a routine .
