My Students

My students are amazing kids who face many challenges both at home and at school. My students all have various disabilities, but they don't let their disabilities hold them back.

All of my students are unique, but one thing is the same in each of them: they love to learn.

My students come from a variety of backgrounds and face many challenges before even entering our school. We work together every day to overcome those challenges and reach new heights. I work with about 75 special education students every week, reaching kids with various disabilities. My students love to move, explore and play.

My Project

Can you imagine if every scrape, scratch, bang, crash, or clatter was 10 times louder to your ears? Or if just 5 minutes of sitting in a chair felt like 5 hours? It would be really hard to learn if every little noise interrupted your thoughts and you couldn't contain your need for movement, and that is why we really need your help!

Kids with certain disabilities struggle to filter out noise from the classroom environment and many kids need opportunities to move which is why we need noise canceling headphones and bouncy balls to sit on to help us learn!

My students need things like ear phones that block noise, fidgets to let their hands move, and bouncy balls to let them wiggle and learn at the same time. The difference that these tools can make are amazing and quite frankly, life changing, for many students in need of some extra help.
