My Students
This upcoming year I will be returning to the Kindergarten classroom! My students will come to me from various economic backgrounds, but they will all have the same desire to learn.
I will be teaching about 20 students that will come into my classroom excited, a little nervous, and eager to learn.
My Project
With moving into a new classroom, I need to build a puzzle center for my students. Through this center I intend on providing a space for students to utilize their thinking skills.
Being able to solve puzzles is an integral part of a child's development.
Simple jigsaw puzzles can help children develop finger strength and perseverance. Puzzles can also help improve memory skills, improve visual and spatial skills, as well as improve problem-solving skills.
I plan to have our puzzle center available to my students daily as a way to enhance their thinking skills.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
