My Project
Each year in biology we study evolution. This unit has lacked many opportunities for students to explore the content in a more hands on way.
The goal of this project is to allow students to connect the observations they make of animals we see today with a growing understanding of how the similarities came about.
Students will have an opportunity to dissect one of 5 different animals from different taxonomical groups and then look for similarities they possess. Then using these similarities they will connect them back to a common ancestor showing which organisms are more closely related.
