This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Gaining access to unlimited practical, evidence-based courses from a trusted resource (the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association - ASHA) will enable me to stay up-to-date with the most recent research and evidence-based information and therapy approaches to best support my students with speech and language needs.

The ASHA Learning Pass includes continuing education content that covers a wide variety of practical topics that will help me meet the various needs of my students with speech and language needs.

The scope of practice of speech and language therapy is broad and encompasses many facets of function. These include speech production and fluency, language, cognition, and more (e.g. swallowing, voice, resonance, hearing, etc.) that are all vital areas for helping students on my caseload succeed in the classroom.

Access to these research-based courses will be of tremendous help and support to my students and me in our therapy endeavors to helping them make progress and hopefully reach their speech and language goals, so that they can better access their classroom curriculum and to improve their overall quality-of-life.
