My Project
Ever since COVID we have notice a severe need to help our students form positive relationships and use appropriate social skills within the school day. We have also been trying to assist students with their emotional needs, recognizing when they are in need of assistance, and ways we can help support them.
To help students with these needs we have been working to improve our PBIS program so we can meet the social and emotional needs for our students.
Our acronym for PBIS is R.I.S.E. Students have the opportunity to learn RISE tickets throughout the day for displaying Responsible actions, showing Integrity, acting in a Safe manner to others and themselves and being actively Engaged in their own learning. We have found, through student surveys, food is a very high motivator for students. We have incorporated food into our planning of rewards for students, who can pay with their RISE tickets. It is a nice way to recognize and reward students displaying positive behaviors. We also have a monthly raffle, which students can participate in by using their earned RISE tickets as raffle tickets. The drawings are once a month. Students love the variety of prizes we offer them throughout the year. We would love if you could help us provide motivating reward and prizes for our students displaying their RISE values and helping to foster the SEL growth of our students.
