This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing human beings! They are full of life and have endless potential to do so many wonderful things. My school is a Title I school in a poverty-stricken community.
Our school consists of a very large English language learner population.
All of our students receive free breakfast and free lunch. Many of our parents struggle to help meet the needs of school supplies and the needs of their children. Regardless of these circumstances, my students overcome! They are learning how to face challenges and grow stronger academically, socially, and emotionally, preparing them for the next level of life.
I believe that these students deserve every opportunity this world has to offer and I am determined to help them get it. These students can change the world with their brilliant minds and can climb out of the cycle of poverty through the gift of education. They will learn that the world is theirs for the taking with hard work, dedication, and knowledge.
My Project
Teachers go through a lot of ink. It's that simple. At some schools, printers are included in each classroom and in others, some are not. In my situation, we don't have a classroom printer and it forces me to use my own ink.
With your help, we can have a printer that provides resources to students the instant they need them.
This printer would be very beneficial not just for myself, but for my students. We have incredible digital resources that students with accommodations need to have in front of them with a paper version. Printing certificates of achievement would be another use. Printing math manipulatives, reading texts, bookmarks, mini rulers for science and more are just some of the ways we'd use the printer.
