My students need tactile ways to learn the alphabet.

This project is fully funded

I am a Pre-School teacher in a public elementary school. I teach a combination class of English Language Learners, at-risk students and students with special needs.

It takes the students in my class longer to learn the basics. I work hard at presenting the alphabet in many forms but it is still very difficult for many of them.

I share resources with another teacher who also works with the same population as me. We are looking at creative ways to teach our students their letters while building their fine motor skills. These magnetic games from Lakeshore are excellent. I purchased the paint puzzle maze and all my students love it. The alphabet games would not only build hand eye skills but they would also be teaching tools.

Please help me reach my students. Making the ABC's fun will go along way in showing them that learning is fun. Everything we ever really needed to know we learned from our first few teachers. Sharing is a wonderful lesson - please consider us!
