My Project
Please help my special education students get adaptive equipment for the playground. My lovely preschoolers in my special education classroom love to go to the playground. They love to run and climb like the other preschoolers that we share the playground with. One of their favorite things is to see the other preschoolers ride the bikes around the playground. Due to some challenges in mobility or coordination, my students struggle to ride the bikes like the other kids. They have tried and tried, which has led to so much frustration. I would like to add these tricycles and wagons to meet the needs of my students and give them the opportunity to also zip around the playground as fast as the other students. This is a way for me to make my students feel included and to teach them that their disability will not hold them back.
