Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 11th and 12th grade English in an urban school district. Our students are 90%+ free/reduced lunch qualifiers.
My students need help with the ACT college admissions test. I want them to go to college, but they are not prepared for the type of questions they will face on the ACT. These books will prepare them in my particular field.
These books will be used during class time and in after school tutoring sessions to teach the students how to read critically and edit successfully. Their improved scores will improve their chances to succeed in life.
Your help will create better futures for my students. They will be able to achieve the dream of getting a college degree and all that such a degree will provide for them. This is a major hurdle for them, and you will help them over it.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
