My Project

My students are at the beginning of their educational experiences and reading is one of the most fundamental and essential skills needed to be successful in any path in life. My kids are often frustrated with learning to read, many times not having been read to at home so they have very little background knowledge about reading. By giving them tools and access to choices of books they can be inspired to learn to read and overcome their frustration as they get to explore the world in so many ways from the safety and with support in the classroom.

We see libraries closing and families not being able to provide books for their children, but in my classroom I can give them a world of books to enjoy and learn about all of the things they dream and wonder about.
