This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students spent the last 2 years sitting at computers and desks for most of their school lessons. Rainbow tables and rugs were taken out of our classroom to allow for social distancing.

My students really miss the rug- it was our whole-class meeting place!

Their favorite way to learn was sitting all together on that rug..... listening to a read-aloud, doing math with a partner, sharing a new story they wrote, or reading the latest edition of Scholastic News. Help us join together again on the rug- and read great magazines!
