Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been a 3rd grade bilingual teacher for many years now and something that I have noticed along the way is that even 8 and 9 year olds struggle with phonics. This is especially true of students learning English as a second language. A lot of the supplies I have asked for in this project will support all students in their reading journey!

Imagine discovering that you too can read!

That is what I want to gift my students. The ability to strengthen their phonic skills and be a confident reader. A long with the reading activities in the list I have also included a color printer for color coding activities and scaffolding instruction. I want my students to want to read and write and the small things make a difference!

Help me help my students by gifting them from the most basics like pencils and glue to reading activities to support students in becoming strong readers!
