My Project

We know that in order for students to excel academically, we must first teach social and emotional skills. The requested items will help teach and promote just that to all our scholars.

The various games, such as the chess set, will be used during group sessions to resolve conflicts, teach empathy and develop strong character skills.

When students are comfortable and having fun, they are more apt to receive instruction effectively. Some of the other items will be used to reinforce students' positive behavior choices. The blank books will be used to provide "brain breaks" for some students who enjoy coloring and drawing.
