My Students

Who wants to read about a cool experiment in a book when you can have the chance to actually do it yourself? Why should our underprivileged students have Science class without the opportunity to conduct their own research? Why should our students be limited in their Science education?

Our students are young scientists and explorers.

They have a natural curiosity about the world and want to explore their surroundings. Unfortunately due to the lack of resources most of our students have had a limited education in the field of Science. Few have actually being able to conduct experiments or have had the opportunity to work on hands-on projects. This is partly due to the fact that we have limited funding and are not able to purchase materials that will enhance our Science courses making them more meaningful and fun!

My Project

I am requesting microscope slides so that students can compare blood between humans and animals. This is key as a forensic investigator. I am also requesting slides that compare a variety of trace evidence. Students need to be able to identify different types of evidence and these slides will help them. In addition I am requesting an experiment kit that will allow students to simulate the comparison of blood types.

You will be making a difference by exposing our students to an environment that screams Science.

Students will feel important because they will be conducting actual experiments rather than just watching a video or reading about them in a book.
