My Project
The materials in this project will go toward restocking our comfort closet. We are requesting items such a feminine hygiene products, deodorant, hairbrushes and extra clothing. We are also requesting snack items. These items are stored in a closet within my classroom, but access is granted to any student who needs it.
The goal of this project is to ensure any student that need these items, have access to them without embarrassment or judgement.
The students that come into my classroom are mostly those that have Autism. We have over 30 students in our program with Autism but we also have 80 general education students that come in as peers throughout the day. Both groups of students have needs and often come looking for items in my room. I want to be able to provide these items to all students.
