This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching at a Title I school can be challenging when it comes to supplies. Many of our families aren't able to provide just basic supplies (i.e. pencils, paper, crayons, folders, backpacks, etc.), much less other supplies that help make a classroom and the day run smoothly. Students who don't have supplies often feel out of place and it can lead to behavior issues.

Everyday supplies are very important, and help the students to expand their learning from day to day!

Dry-erase markers, mini whiteboard erasers, colored pencils, and baggies are all helpful during both whole and small group. Laminating stations for small group work helps to keep stations durable as well! Kleenex and disinfectant wipes are a necessity, especially during the cooler weather when students start to become ill with colds.
