This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This is my second year teaching seventh grade math, but it is not my first year in a classroom! Each of my students has their own personality and bring so much to the classroom. I work in an urban district where more than half of the students qualify for free or reduced price lunch. Many of my students can not afford their own school supplies, items that are necessary for their success.

Having appropriate supplies needed for every day use in the classroom will be a game changer!

The post-its are used by the students and myself to help with organization. Many students use them to write down questions or even homework on so they do not forget the assignment. The colored computer paper will be used when we are completing activities around the room. The colored paper helps students find the assigned work around the classroom. We are going into the winter season and tissues are always needed!!
