This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These supplies are common necessities that students ask for daily. Nurses don't always provide band aids, pads, deodorant, baby wipes when students just need it to make them feel more comfortable in school. Boy and girls will be able to access the hygiene station just as long as they call their parents to ask permission to be given the resource.

All genders, races, and ages can ask for these supplies to use with the permission from their parents or guardians.

We have students of all races that attend our school, and help doesn't see color. I would like to offer help to any students no matter their socio-economic status, the color of their skin nor the grade they have on their report card. Every person matures and develops differently and at different times.

Better access to hygiene supplies for all my students will definitely bring a smile to their face. Having a bad day could lead to heads being down on the desk, refusing to cooperate, refusing to calm down or to do well on the classwork being given. The weather in this area has a few months of cold, to more months of very warm, so forgetting to apply deodorant or moisturizing exposed area can really affect how the rest of the day will end up being.

These students have goals to be successful and responsible individuals in our future society. Being a middle school teacher, we are not only teaching them content, but we are also helping them to make it through each day for a whole school year.
