My Students

Have you ever tried to do your job, but you didn't have the proper supplies or tools? My students are in need of basic school supplies so they can do their job while at school. Often times, I find my students sneaking their supplies into their book bags so they have something to do at home.

Over 90% of our students are from low-incomes households.

Many of them are being raised by a single parent or by their grandparents. Most of our students live in the neighborhood and can walk to school, and there are three buses each day. Many times they arrive to school with an empty stomach and not dressed for the weather. Our school is their safe place and ready or not, they come willing to learn. I want them to be able to walk into my classroom knowing they have everything they need to be successful.

My Project

Often times they arrive the first day of school without the necessary supplies to start the school year. I make sure they don't do without so I provide them with the supplies they need. Typically, I purchase these supplies throughout the summer hoping for a good sale price. Just this week I passed out the last of my crayons and glue sticks that I had tucked away in my cabinet. My students are always grateful for the items they are given and treat them with care and respect.

We would be grateful if you would consider purchasing any or all of our supplies that we use daily in our classroom.

Please help provide students that are willing and able to learn, but do not have the ability to purchase the supplies necessary to do so.
