This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Almost every day, our classroom has one hundred percent attendance. This is a huge success for a Title One school where we have a large population of our students who receive a free or reduced-price lunch. My students walk into our classroom ready to learn, energized, and excited to share with their peers.
Because we are a "Kids at Hope" school, we believe "All children are capable of success, no exceptions!" We strive to create well-rounded students in all content areas and focus on building strong character traits and leadership skills that students will need to have in their future.
My Project
Scholarly students need basic supplies to continue their learning! My fifth grade students start every year without the basic school supplies required for learning. This is due to the low socio-economic background of my students.
My students deserve to have the same school supplies as their peers, regardless of their background.
Please help give my students basic pencils to complete their daily activities. They also use sticky notes to write kind and positive "shout-outs" to their peers. We use personal whiteboards everyday, so students are always using their dry-erase markers. Because of the current pandemic, students will need to have individual supply pouches to hold their supplies. Most students do not have money to spend on these pouches. In order for students to work around the room, they need clipboards to hold their papers while sitting away from their desks. The dry-erase pockets will hold their math templates so we can reuse from assignment to assignment.
Please help give my students the basic supplies that will help give them a scholarly start to the school year.
