Everyday Essentials

Help me give my students 20 whiteboards and markers to use during math instruction.

My Students

My students are special because they are diverse learners who want to experience a fun and engaging education. They attend a community school where students live in close proximity. Our school is an early childhood center, located in an inner city neighborhood. We are a Title I school where students receive free and reduced lunches. Many students are new to the country and have to adapt to the English language and American culture. "Relationships cannot grow without the proper communication."

My Project

With the materials requested, students will be able to solve math problems and be able to be checked for understanding. Also, the butterfly garden will give students the opportunity to watch the butterfly life cycle in real life! The large timer will help students see if they managing their time wisely while working in groups. In addition, the Superhero posters and bulletin boards match our room theme and boost the students’ morale. The request for a pencil sharpener is because the one we have has been so overused and the students need it every day to sharpen their pencils in order to complete their work!
