This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting is for the science area in my classroom. I am a First-Year Teacher building my classroom with very limited resources. The furniture given to me was very old and does not fit well in a science area. All year I encouraged my students to use the area but two minutes later they are gone. This is because there are not many interesting things to do and they get bored very quickly. In this project I requested a shelve to put bins with science tools and fun things to explore, a leaf rug to give it a nature feel in the area, and many fun games, tools, and science puzzles that will be excited for my students to use.
I want to create young scientist who learn so much about the wonderful phenomena of the world around them through discovery an as they develop curious minds and an infinite of questions to explore.
I am requesting different items for a variety of topics discussed throughout the year such as the seasons, our senses, the sink or float phenomena, magnets, animals, and more! My students will truly appreciate any help you can give them to build another area in their classroom that they can truly enjoy and be eager to explore.
