it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Kindergarten students love to learn and come to school excited and ready to participate in activities. My students have severe and multiple disabilities and are nonspeaking, or minimally speaking. My goals for this project are for my students to have a way of communicating their wants and needs, and for them to be given an opportunity to make choices, respond to questions, participate in lessons, and interact socially with staff and peers. The voice-recording buttons can hold one message each and are easy to set up and use. An iPad has the potential for so many amazing apps that can benefit my student's speech and language skills by giving them access to endless vocabulary. The QuickTalker 23 speech device will allow my students to interact during a lesson and communicate with one another. Having this kind of technology in the classroom will make a tremendous difference in their learning. They will be able to communicate and participate in classroom activities with confidence.
