Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are kind, curious, and full of potential. They come from many different backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to our classroom. What makes them special is how open they are to learning about each other and the world around them. They are eager to see themselves represented in the stories they read and the materials they use, which helps them feel valued and included.
This project will provide diverse books and inclusive figurines that reflect a variety of races, cultures, and experiences.
These resources will help students explore themes of equity, justice, and identity in a meaningful and age-appropriate way. The figurines will be used during discussions, storytelling, and play, helping students connect emotionally and intellectually with what they’re learning. My goal is to create a space where every student feels seen, respected, and inspired to make a difference. These materials will support that vision by promoting empathy, understanding, and pride in who they are.
