Every Student Shines: Support for a Special Summer Class
Help me give my students the tools, sensory supports, and engaging materials they need to thrive, communicate, and enjoy learning in a supportive and inclusive summer classroom
My summer school classroom is a cluster class made up of incredible students with high needs and significant disabilities. Each student learns in a unique way, and I am dedicated to creating an environment where they feel safe, supported, and excited to learn. Many of my students require sensory input, visual support, and specific tools to help them focus and regulate their emotions.
This project will provide sensory and social-emotional materials like slime, flexible seating, weighted vests, and blankets to help my students feel calm, focused, and comfortable.
These tools are not just helpful—they are essential to my students' success and wellbeing. I'm also requesting basic classroom supplies like scissors and pencils to help us get through daily lessons and activities smoothly.
