This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have been teaching a self-contained ELA class from grades 9-12. Most of my students have specific learning disabilities especially in reading and Math. Some of them have emotional disturbance and others have health impairment. Almost all of my students really struggle in reading comprehension and writing paragraphs. I really want to help my students by integrating fun activities that will motivate my students to learn.

My Project

I am currently enrolled for my MAT in Special Education. My students really inspired me to specialize in Special Education. I want to learn more strategies that will help my students with learning disabilities to make learning more fun. This ipad will be a great help for me as it will be easier for me to access my classes and be able to do my assignments easily. By taking more Special Education courses, I will be able to teach and help my students with learning disabilities especially with their writing skills and reading comprehension. I will be able to apply all of the strategies that I will learn in my course in my classroom setting. My students will really benefit from this because I will be able to provide them with quality of learning.
