This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our classroom, every student deserves to feel seen, valued, and celebrated for who they are. This project supports diversity and inclusion by giving my students books that reflect different cultures, skin tones, and experiences. Alongside these books, we will use materials like Crayola's "Colors of the World" crayons, markers, and paper that represent a wide range of skin tones to create art that reflects our real world.

Representation matters, and I want my students to know that they belong, no matter their background.

With these resources, we’ll have thoughtful conversations about race, kindness, acceptance, and identity all while creating projects that honor who they are.
