This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The art materials in this PreK art project will provide visual art supplies for our classroom. Art is vital for small children as it stimulates creativity, enhances fine motor skills, and supports cognitive and emotional development. It also provides a unique outlet for self-expression and communication.

Art is a place for children to learn to trust their ideas, themselves and to explore what is possible.

The containers of colorful play dough will allow students to create 3D designs. Play dough helps young learners develop their fine motor skills. The sets of watercolors will provide our students the opportunity to paint during center time. The oil pastel sets will give students the opportunity to work in a new art media. The oil pastels will create soft and tactile drawings.
