My students need exposure to digital technology that will allow them the opportunity to develop their creativity.

My Students
It is time to think outside of the box. With the lack of funding within the LAUSD system it is up to me, the teacher, to get creative and develop challenging and meaningful lessons. Exposing the students to digital technology will greatly enhance my students artistic and cognitive development.
My students are a wonderful group of Kindergarteners who are motivated to learn and discover new things.
They come to their neighborhood school with a thirst for knowledge. The classroom is made up of a beautifully diverse population from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds encompassing students with fragile x syndrome to highly gifted.
My Project
Having a camera at our disposal will encourage students to become photojournalists. Students will be motivated to capture images of new information on a daily basis. For example, students can take pictures documenting the discovery of scientific information and then write about the process. We can also photo document the students growth and knowledge in dance and drama using the video capability of the camera. Having a camera will give the students another opportunity for artistic expression.
Inspiration for learning and the use of technology should be cultivated at a young age.
Students need a classroom that encourages exploration and the use of variety of instructional aids. All children can learn, they just need the tools and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
